The mission of KarelNOK Centre is:
To improve the community that contributes to the development of the small business. To enhance the quality of the entrepreneur environment.
Entrepreneurship is an important element of the market economy, without which it cannot develop harmonically. Therefore, at the earlier stages of the market economy development, businessmen need support from the state. Support to the entrepreneurship is, above all, a task of the regions and municipalities. In this regard, KarelNOK Centre in 2002 designed training programmes for municipal officers and dedicated to municipal economy and management. The following training workshops were carried out within the implementation of this programme: “Theory and practice of designing and implementation of key strategic directions of the regulatory development of a municipality”, “Designing a strategy for municipal socio-economic development”, “Co-operation of municipal authorities and entrepreneurs. Basics of successful business”, “Basics of the land laws”.
In the Centre’s classes, representatives of authorities and entrepreneurs work together. At the Centre, you can meet managers of Republican well-known companies and young specialists. Currently, the Centre rents extra premises for its classes – more and more people wish to get training at the Centre.
Two departments were open on the base of the Centre: Economic Department and Department of Modern Computer Technology of the Republican School Academy, where talented senior schoolchildren from the Districts of Karelia study. Schoolchildren from Petrozavodsk schools study at the Economic Lyceum.
For a long time KarelNOK Centre has been a leader of the Karelian education. KarelNOK central universities and international partners.
- Valentina Nikolaevna, Russia’s President Vladimir Putin said that we should make our business understandable to not only us but our international partners too, which will turn it into attractive for investing into the Russian economy. I think that besides the moral and economic aspects, increasing growth of comprehensively and economically educated businessmen is a step to achieving this goal.
- I find this issue one of the priorities for the successful development of our economy. Investments will come to our economy only when it becomes transparent. Until a potential investor has a clear picture of the real situation at a Company, they will hardly invest their resources.
As an educational institution, we offer entrepreneurs a special training course on management, budgeting, financial structure of a Company. What gladdens is that there are more and more companies ready to show their financial statements, professionally and legally running their businesses.
At the moment, the world economy is distinguished by innovative nature. And training institutions should comply these rules in their approaches - to be mobile and effective. This is the way KarelNOK Centre works.
