The life of Vitaly Margishvili is common to the lives of people of his generation. While remembering these years, one should point out the qualities peculiar to people from the vanguard of the Russian entrepreneurship: decisiveness, readiness to bear responsibility for just oneself but for personnel too, the use of modern technology and expertise, wish to continually improve oneself, comprehension of problems and needs of the society, capability to advance to the set goals.
Vitaly Margishvili was born in 1958.

Kivatch LLC Company was established in 1989 as Karelia’s first Societ-Finnish Company growing trout for commercial purpose. The fish nurse-ponds and main manufacturing are located in Raiguba settlement on the ecologically pure salmon Lake Sundozero.
In 1997, the Company became Russian. The amounts of fish growing reached in 1997 100 tons per year, in 1998 – 160 tons, in 1999, 2000, 2001 – 250 tons, and in 2002 the figure reached 350 tons in a year. In addition, in 1998, a fish-processing plant capable to process 500 tons of fish per year was constructed on the shore of the Lake. The availability of fish-processing capabilities close to the fish-ponds gives an extinct advantage over other manufacturers.
In 2000, the Company was awarded European Code 90D, which opened opportunities for free supplies to EU’s countries. Kivatch LLC Company is the sole owner of such a right among trout growing companies in Russia and fish-processing plants in Karelia.
In 2001, Kivatch Company launched a new manufacturing unit for vacuum packaging of smoked salted trout in Petrozavodsk.
According to Rosrybhoz/Russian Fisheries, Kivatch Company is one of the first three fast-growing fisheries companies in Russia.
Trial products of the Company got a positive assessment at the fish markets of Japan, Germany and England.
At the current moment, Kivatch Company is involved in commercial breeding of trout and in trout processing (salting, smoking, cutting, vacuum packaging, producing caviar and fish products of trout). All products are excellently sold in Karelia, Moscow, St-Petersburg, other regions of Russia and abroad. The Company is a member of Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Karelia.
Kivatch Company is a regular runner-up of Russian-wide and international exhibitions and fairs. The products of Kivatch Company have the following awards:
- - Award of the 1st decree of the Russian-wide Agricultural Exhibition’s tasting competition “The best food product – 2001” and the Gold medal for weakly smoked and vacuum packed trout filet;
- - Award of the 1st decree of the Russian-wide Agricultural Exhibition’s tasting competition “The best food product – 2001” and the Gold medal for weakly salted and vacuum packed trout slices;
- - Award and Grand Prix of the Russian Agricultural Exhibition as the best Russian fish manufacturer;
- - Award of the 1st decree of the Russian-wide Agricultural Exhibition’s tasting competition “The best food product – 2000” and the Gold medal for weakly smoked and vacuum packed trout slices;
- - Award of the 3rd decree of the Russian-wide Agricultural Exhibition’s tasting competition “The best food product – 2000” and the Bronze medal for salted and vacuum packed trout filet;
- - Honorary award of the Exhibition Joint-Stock Company Lenexpo for the products displayed at the exhibition “Inrybprom-2000”: weakly smoked trout slices in vacuum packing, salted trout slices in vacuum packing;
- - Award of the VII International Exhibition “Inrybprom-2000” for a major contribution into the preparation and arranging of the International Exhibition “Inrybprom-2000”;
- - Award for products displayed at the Eco Product Exhibition “Berlin-2001”;
- - Award “80th anniversary of Karelia” for active participation in the Republican Exhibition of Goods and Services “Karelia-2000”;
- - Award for active participation in the Food Exhibition “Karelia FOOD-2000”;
- - Award for active participation in the Food Exhibition “Karelia FOOD-2001”;
- - Laureate of the Competition Programme “Fish and Sea Grass Products” at the International Fisheries Exhibition “Fish Resources-2002”, Moscow;
- - Gold medal for fish products at the Exhibition “Don Merchant”, Rostov;
